Q: Hello, I spilled water onto my trackpad before and put rice on it and didn't use it for a couple days and the laptop seemed fine afterwards. I recently spilled water on the trackpad again but this time I didn't realize it so I believe the water sunk in. Now when I try to use the trackpad it has a mind of its own. The mouse will move on its on and zoom in all the time. I think some of my keyboard doesn't work either or I have tap several times to get it to work. Should I ship it for the water damage and if so how will the total cost calculate to?

MacBook Pro Water Damage Repair
Da Daisy - 5 years ago
Hi Daisy, it's amazing how just a little bit of water can create damage. There could be some corrosion caused by the first incident. The water damage process will provide you with a thorough cleaning of your computer and also a complete diagnostic to make sure nothing else is damaged. If something needs to be replaced the technician will discuss it in detail with you first.
